David R Buchanan 1913 – 1999
David studied at the Hornsey School of Art (London) before joining the RAF. He painted in oil and watercolour and is well know for still life studies, portraits and landscapes, particularly of the Cotswolds and its villages.
David exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts summer exhibition 8 times – 1937, 1947, 1951, 1965, 1974, 1978, 1979 & 1984, as well as at the Royal West of England Academy and the RI.
