Richard was born in 1953 and began painting at an early age and attended both the Northwich College of Art, Cheshire, and Dartington College of Arts in Devon. He is a great observer and painter of the natural world and now lives on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire which provides inspiration for many of his works.
He is a member of The Society of Wildlife Artists and The Society of Botanical Artists.
