Trevor Boyer was born in Yorkshire in Castleford in 1948. When he was just 14 he joined the Wakefield School of Art before working for 8 years as a commercial artist.

Trevor Boyer became a freelance artist in 1976 specializing in ornithological subjects.

He has provided ornithological illustrations to several bird books such as:

  • The Reader’s Digest ‘Birds of Britain’, 1981
  • The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds Complete Book of British Birds, 1988.
  • Usborne Spotters Guide
  • Ducks of Britain
  • Owls of the World
  • Sea and freshwater birds

Trevor Boyer paintings have been exhibited at the Leeds City Museum and the Society of Wildlife Artists, Mall Galleries, London.
