The artist Patricia Willis (1914 – 1969) was born in Kelowna in Canada but moved to London. She studied art at the Byam Shaw School of Art in Kensington, London, from 1938 – 1941 and again from 1952 – 1955.

Patricia Willis studied under Peter Greenham and Charles Mahoney and subsequently taught at Byam Shaw from 1957 – 1965.

Although best known for her portrait work she is known to have painted several London cityscapes, including St Pauls and Gledhow Gardens in South Kensington, where she lived for several years. Her painting of Gledhow Gardens can be seen in Kensington Library – Click here for details.

Patricia Marjorie Willis (As she was christened) had works in three exhibitions at the Royal Academy.
